Education: Bowling Green State University

Continuing Education Experience:

Interesting Fact About Mrs. Kulka: “I am a Michigan fan no matter how much Msgr. Metzger razzes me!”

Education: The University of Toledo (Bachelor’s degree in early childhood with a concentration in language arts)

Background: 6th Grade Teacher at St. Joseph School since 1990.  “I have always taught 6th grade at St. Joe’s.  I chose to teach at a Catholic school after being a substitute teacher in other school districts and realizing that sharing my faith with others was an important choice in my life.  I became a teacher because I was inspired by a few special elementary teachers from my own career.”

Interesting Fact: High School students involved with the Sylvania Northview High School football program were recently asked to nominate a teacher who has made a difference in their life.  Mrs. Steirer was nominated by SJS grad Danny Schweickert and honored at a Northview football game.  Congratulations Mrs. Steirer!

Interesting Fact About Mrs. Jones:
“I was hired in 2002 and cannot imagine teaching anywhere else.  Middle school students offer a unique perspective on concepts and current events.  Being able to pray with my class and share our faith is one of the many reasons why I love teaching at a Catholic school.  I am blessed to be able to call SJS home and thrilled to have my daughter and son be part of this amazing community.”
