From the Right to Read Committee

Tracy Kindl What a fun and exciting week we had.  It sure did go by fast!  We certainly hope your enthusiasm continues.  We would not have been able to have such a successful event without the help of the many generous and talented people who volunteered their time and talents.  A very special thank you to my hard working committee, Denise Brown and Tracy Kindl.  Stacy Steward for helping us count all those reading slips and helping deliver all those prizes on Friday.

A ROUND OF APPLAUSE GOES OUT TO:

Mrs. Ann Hillard for designing our library bulletin board.  Awesome job!

Thank you to the Toledo Mud Hens, and the Toledo Walleye Team, Joseph Napoli, General Manager and Andi Roman, Manager of Community Relations for our grand prizes.

McDonald’s Corporation and Tim and Laura Sloan for their donation of 160 coupons

Ronald McDonald for a wonderful reading assembly and donation of books

Mini Motions Dance Center

Meijer Supermarket, Central Avenue

Mrs. Annette Napoli for her many prizes from the Mudhen Swamp Shop

PTO for their financial support of our reading week and illustrator presentation

Our visiting illustrator, Mr. Richard Cowdrey for a very informative and fun assembly

AND THE WINNERS ARE:

Any student that read all five nights and returned their reading slips each day on time had their names placed into a drawing for our grand prizes as well as winners from each classroom each day.  In fact there were so many winners this year they are too numerous to mention by name.  The grand prizes for Mud Hen tickets and Walleye tickets were, Andrew Pelok 7JJ and Morgan McCanna 4S.  There were also daily trivia winners on both campuses.  Any student that read all five days also got an Italian Ice cup treat last week.  We had lots of fun!

Again, thank you to all who helped make this year's Right-To-Read Week a huge success!  KEEP READING!
